A finished object!

yeah

Well there it is! My Sophie bag!
All felted up and hanging out drying!
I have figured out what it takes to felt and item in my washer! Adding a teapot full of boiling water, the large load setting, and the heavy agitation! After two tries before that on just the hot and regular settings I decided I needed to rough it up a bit!

I am most pleased with the outcome, I am not really a Bag person myself.. so this one will probably be a present.

So I cast on the prayer shawl on Sunday. It will be my Sunday knitting, and portable knitting for the knitting group and Wednessday nights at bible study!

I resisted the temptation to cast on the Voodoo wrist warmers. I need to get that second sleeve restarted !

It snowed all weekend, and there isn’t much to show for it now, though a little north of here they got up to 18″ of snow! We had a nice dinner out last night at Eat at Joes restaurant.
Well got to get the kids back at school work, I think as long as it is cold and the windows are kept shut my allergies will be kept at bay!

  • Your Sophie bag looks great!

  • Hey there fellow Midwest knitter and RAOKer! I’ve been lurking around your blog today. It’s so wonderful that you’re knitting a prayer shawl. I’m going to knit some of those once I get some things off my plate.

  • hey there fellow midwest knitter and RAOKER! I’ve been lurking around your blog today. That’s so wonderful that you’re knitting a prayer shawl. I know that many people who receive them are very touched by the gesture.

  • I LOVE IT! This is one of my “to do” projects with some yummy wool a friend got me in Australia
