Knitter?

Poor Brian wasn’t feeling so well the other night.
I metnioned to him that I had recorded Knit One, Purl Two from DIY and that Marina Sirtis of Star Trek fame was on it.
So while I was out picking up the children from kid’s club at church, he watched it.
He was intrigued by purling. He told me so when I got back.
He said he was going to pick up something I was knitting on and try it out, but he couldn’t find anything and he didn’t know how to start with a new project so he didn’t (I told you he wasn’t feeling well.)

He asked why you would purl, and I explained the difference between garter stitch and stockinette, and what happens when you knit and purl in circular knitting.

I am not sure he got it all.. he was sick after all.. but he seemed to get it.

Then I tucked him in bed with his latest sci-fi book and he was happy.

Who knows, I may make a knitter out of him yet!
