Knitter’s Fantasy?

I am going to my first knitting class tommorow. I don’t know why this makes me nervous.. but it sure does! I just hope I don’t do anything silly, or embarassing.. Like poke my eye out with a ZedPN (zero point needle for all you non Sci-Fi fans..)

Well I am being summoned to bed by my four year old. He is telling me not to open the packages of stitch holders and cable needles and pack them for class.. he says I need to sleep first…. then I can come down and do that. Perhaps there is some simple wisdom there…

Boy.. I hope my shirt and socks dry in time…

Blog Meme

Those Knotty Girls are at it again! They’ve sent us all on a Wild Goose Chase. Have you done it? Here are the rules:

-Your finds must come from knit blogs.
-You may not use a blog for more than one item-all items must come from different sources.
-Finds can come from current entries or archives.
-You must post your answers with the title of the blogs they were found on and a link to the blog/item (permalinks where appropriate) on your blog. If no permalink is available, give us the post date.
-Do not steal anyone’s bandwidth-which means you should not hotlink pictures.
-You need to comment [on their site] and let us know when you have completed this meme.

And here are my finds:

1. A blog which you think people have not discovered. If you havn’t read Chris’s blog Big Yellow House then you need to!! Not knitting related in the least but .. super funny!(I know bending the rules here a bit.. don’t worry I am sure I will do it again!)

2. A blog whose author lives close to you physically. Just get as close as you can, it’s all relative. A new member in my knitting group!  Kraftie

3. An unusual or weird animal picture. Stuff on My Cat is always a hoot!

4. An entry that made you laugh and got you strange looks from family or co-workers. I have to say Stephanie getting locked out of her room in her underwear.. hands down!

5. An idea you wish you’d thought of. Allison’s Thing one and Thing two outfits for her boys!

6. Something you’d like to knit.

This: To see details click and scroll down to Jan 1 entry!

 7. A picture of something you consider beautiful: I’ll have to get back to you on this one!

8. A blog whose author you’d like to one day meet in person: Purling Sprite! Got to meet up with Isela!!

9. A blog of someone you have already met in person. Yarn Harlot

JenLa tagged the world. DO NOT DISAPPOINT THEM PEOPLE! Meme on.

Girls night out

Well we girls here escaped last night. We went out and what did we do? Shopping of course! We got the groceries, we went to the bookstore. And we went to Wally’s world and Joann’s!

While we were at Joann’s I got everything I need for my classes on Saturday! I have my contrasting yarn for the one class, and my teeny tiny needles for the other class! (I am putting up with knitting on teeny tiny needles so I can learn stuff about making Aran Sweaters so I can make one for you-know-who..)

I also saw that they carry American School of Needlework booklets! I didn’t know they had them! I must have had the biggest goofiest look on my face when I asked the lady if they had gotten my book in yet! But it’s cool to think it will probably be on the shelf with the others!

I will probably put my extra copies in a dutch auction on Ebay on Friday, that is like the only fair way to handle it! So keep posted for details

At Wally’s world I got a new purse!! I had to replace the superwonderful one Brian got me because the strap broke It was great he got it from E-Bags!

I also got this at Borders with my 25% off teacher’s discount.

Of course Brian took one look at it and said.. “oooh a book full of low resolution pictures in 16 colour!!” What a computer Geek..hehehhe

Safe and Sound!

And very thirsty!

Rudy our dog found her! I was trying to get her to come out of the living room and she wouldn’t budge from the coat closet door. That was odd so I opened it up and turned the light on and there was a little hamster looking up at me!

YEAH! So she is safe and sound in her cage getting a long drink!

And Rudy got a treat too!

I’m a good girl!!

I have been knitting ..really..

Lets see.. I have been playing around with some moonlight mohair. It’s pretty.

I think I am going to pull part of it back and rework it though.

I have something pink and silly on another loom..

I will be making a few more corkscrews and putting them on the little hat! Then I think I will have to write up the pattern..

I should try to pop off another hat or two to take with me to the Knitter’s Fantasy for Caps for Kids this weekend!

And look what came in the mail yesterday!! My book stuff came back..

And here is what came with it!

I know there are a few people out there that wanted personally signed copies so I am thinking about auctioning them off.. That seems to be the fairest way.. And seeing since I don’t really need 7 copies of my book I think I will let a few go. So stay tuned for details!

I also think I will auction off some of the knitted items as well. The proceeds from those will go to Purls of Hope to help get some food or propane for some of the families down in Pearlington, MS!

So stay tuned for details on that!

I am also on the job of working up the Mystery KAL for April for the Deccor Accents Yahoo group.. and working on plans for classes with the Loom Class group! AND playing with Isela’s new cable technique..

Busy busy!

The missing hamster is still missing..I am trying to lure it with some seed and more importantly water! We will see if she shows up. (yes I checked the shoes!)

Need to go shopping tonight for a few supplies for the classes this weekend, a book with my  teacher discount at Borders, some goodies for my booty swap partner.. and maybe throw in a hair cut and a trip to the grocery store! woosh.. need a plan of action!

Bye for now and happy looming!
