Inside out.. boy ya turn me..
Ok you know since my last post the booty jokes have been flying around here..you know.. this is going to be a felted bag so he says.. “hey can I felt it so you can title your blog.. ‘My Husband Felt My Booty’?”..ARGHH silly man!
Oh then there is the comment of.. “oh that looks like a start of a Christmas stocking for a person who is turning 40 and their birthday is in the same week as Christmas! Double ARGHHH..
I do think this little thing would make a great peg leg stocking! Just slap a peg leg on the bottom!
Anyway. Tommorow.. the quest for sock heaven and.. the felting!

Too much fun!
This is just too much fun!! I wanted to experiment with colorwork an here it is! This is for a swap so don’t tell my booty swap partner!!hehhe I plan to felt it too..
The loom is from Lynn Markman and it is very lightweight. I was debating whether or not it would hold up! It just feels that light and delicate! So far it has put up with my use so I think it will be just fine!! I will be working on a little something more appropriate for ya’ll!!

the porcelain monster..
I live in fear of my toilet… yes…
The toilet on our main floor is evil. It likes to fool you into thinking it’s fine and dandy and then it sneaks up and floods the bathroom without warning. So how does one deal with an evil toilet? Well the first line of defense is to avoid using said toilet… Now this is quite impossible to do when a person has 4 children three of whom use the toilet. So we use plan b. Plan b is where I stand up on the little step stool there to aid the little one in using the evil porcelain monster and flush whilst having the plunger at the ready.
Now you must understand that to be really evil the offender must attack with the element of surprise. So it is at those times, the times when I a feeling pretty safe… The times I don’t have that plunger ready.. that is when it strikes..and of course with this bathroom being so small…there is no escape Mwah haha it’s got you!
Later…where do the socks really go?

It sounded like angels singing!
Well the weekend was nice!
The retreat was time well spent. It was mostly about defining yourself and your boundries and how not doing that can effect your life and cause all sorts of problems.
Saturday night was nice. We had an impromptu singing session, all standing around the piano singing alot of well loved songs. I threw in a silly fun song.. you just can’t be a churrch camp and not sing at least one silly fun song even if you are all ‘grown up’. I also threw in the Victory Chant.. that is a call and response song and a good one.. Glenn, who had organized the retreat made a point of commenting on that song after the church service on Sunday morning.. and said it sounded like a group of angels singing and that I really need to do that one at regular church some time.. Mabye when my voice is back to full strength. This cold that the family is passing around has me almost singing bass!!
Jaxom has a high fever and he never gets those so it’s hitting him hard too! He was a trouper this morning and did all the schoolwork I asked him to. Then I felt his forehead and checked and it’s 103.5! So he went off to bed!
This afternoon Azia will do some work and hopefully I will get some knitting done. It’s sort of a secret project.. I might post about it elswhere..
I also have a mitten tutorial to write up for my Lion Blog.
I hope everyone enjoys that vest pattern. My vest is most likely going to get frogged. I have another project I want to do with the Wool Ease and I have three more balls of it, but I might need to pull the vest out if I need more. Otherwise I will start collecting these design projects to send off to the Dulaan Project. There they will be of some use!
I did get some knitting done over the weekend. I hit the halfway mark on the hood of the tunic sweater I am knitting on needles for the two little guys. Sorry the camera cable has gone walkabout so I can’t show you a picture of the progress or the teeny needles it is being knit on!!
Will try to pop in a pic later!
And a reminder! I have had a few patterns and links trickle in to the contest for the pattern directory.. you have to be in it to win!! Yarn and looms are up for grabs!! So send in those patterns to: loomknittingcentral@gmail.com Brian is also working on an automatic entry system for the website.. we did a litle brain work on it this weekend..so hopefully you all will be able to enter your patterns on the website through a few clicks of the mouse! Stay tuned!

Bolero Vest Pattern!
I have decided to put this one out for free.. These bolero type cropped vests are all over this season! This one is based on a vintage rib warmer pattern I found.I takes 3-4 balls of Lion Brand Wool Ease worsted or 600-800 yards of other worsted weight yarn of your choice. Made in 3 peices on a small gauge knitting board (50-60 sets of pegs) or in one peice on one of the infinity type knitting boards!(100 -120 sets of pegs)
Click here to download the pattern!
Enjoy! And if you make one please send me feedback and a picture for the reader’s gallery!

I made the cover!!!
Well what a nice suprise this is!!
That’s my loom on that cover!! hehehe
Get your own free catalog!..CLICK HERE
They have a great free pattern of the day thing going on at their main website. Most of the patterns are crochet!
Ok.. after I posted this I was thinking.. this is just so surreal. I mean a few years ago if you had told me I would be:
a.knitting on knitting looms
b. designing patterns for them
c. writing a book about it
d. having something I made on the cover of a craft supplies catalogue
I would have seriously asked you what you were drinking.. or smoking or both!
Again Stephanie said it yesterday.. I saw this cover and I was like oh wow that’s cool.. and then the next minute it was like.. ok I have to go sort the laundry and wash up some dishes and write out lists for the kids to pack up for the church retreat this weekend.
Meanwhile.. people are buzzing around me saying things like.. oooh I never knew an author before and wow when can we get a signed copy and all that!
And here I am just a regular joe..SAHM who is lucky to brush her hair on a regular basis let alone get a shower.. it’s just weird!! It’s cool and all and then at the same time it’s no biggie because.. well life goes on..diapers need to be changed, and dinner is burning on the stove!!
