Knitting Without Needles

On of these days Isela is just gonna smack me upside the head.. yep.. I am suposed to be test knitting the Cables Baguette for her.. though I already told her it is perfection.. and she knows it. (the pattern is for sale here) And I keep getting distracted.. Along with all that life stuff.. But It’ll get done! Really!! I pinky promise!! I need to get handles for it too so that is part of the delay…

But it truely is a great pattern!!

Anyhoo.. Here is what I have been distracting myself with…

Two squares for Warming Grace..

It’s for charity!! Come on .. you have to give me that!!

The sock.. hey it hasn’t changed color since last time.. But I won’t bore you with that!!

The dancing grannies … Which need a brim and felting..So they are still hanging out with Hattie..

And this strange mystery project..

Don’t worry it’ll look much better than this when it is done..

So you can see there is not much new.. It’s just this mystery project has been stuck in my brain and has been distracting me.. and I need to knit it out!!

The only trouble is that the HUGE annual garage sales at the local development are this weekend too… and well there are usually some really good girl clothes and Azia needs some clothes!! Its coming close to her running around here in her birthday suit!!

So again with the distractions!!!!

And this is distracting me… (even though I don’t have one yet!!)

AWH man.. I just got another wicked cool idea.. DANG.. I need to slow my brain down!

OK.. seriously it has been a long time that we have been looking forward to getting that motorcycle fixed.. and with Tom moving all over the place..like.. Florida.. and such we haven’t had a good opportunity to get the bike to him, or get together to work on it.. but in his latest move he is closer, AND has a nifty garage workshop where he works on his race bike so he has the place to do the work.. And hey .. I have an air filter.. so there are a few less obstacles to overcome..

Speaking of overcoming obstacles.. I have a good deal done with the cable bag of Iselas..I have a great bag liner I think that will fit it.. but no handles handy.. so I will have to dig up some handles. I emailed her yesterday and said..

“I got up after the kids were done with their writing.. and I was going to get a drink.. that was like…. an hour ago..somehow I don’t have that drink.. but I have two repeats of this cabled bag done.. hmmm how did that happen?”
   

So that is going well..

I also got some work done on the sock a little last night and a little this morning..    

And I emailed Lynne to let her know the grannies are dancing.. for now.. you all will just have to wonder at that remark..    

I am hoping to get at least halfway with the blue square for Warming Grace, and some more sock work done today!

That’s along with using that new mop and putting down a couple of floor tiles and….and… hmmm…

I have a bunch of projects that I need to get work on but it seems this week and weekend life just gets in the way of knitting!.

We are getting ready to have guests.. trying to get that kitchen floor done so that is taking up some time. Trying to catch up on some laundry so it’s not taking over the house and that takes up time. I thought I had it made when it was overcast on Saturday morning… get everyone working on stuff inside and get some knitting done too. But it got sunny again. So it didn’t work out like I planned.

Then yesterday was the youth basket auction at church, I took some knitting with me but it didn’t get worked on.. Caleb just wouldn’t stay in the room so I was constantly off an looking for him.

So my grand total of knitting this weekend consisted of pulling back the one thing I was trying out for Isela back to where I needed to be, and doing a bit of knitting on the sock. I did manage to get the heel turned. So i guess that’s progress!

So my grand plans for this week are to get that sock done, get the other knit done, and get the hat I have all the parts for started at least getting the fairisle brim done..

And clean clean clean (now that I bought yet another cheap mop) and get the floor tile laid as far as I can take it. I think I can get the main part done..

It’s looking good!!
