Nestea plunge?

Well then. On Saturday Brian was goofing off and picked me up on hid shoulders (inside the house) He ran around with me up there ducking doorways and ceiling fans..leaving me screaming for him to put me down. I hate open heights and although I do trust him I just don’t like being up there!

So he put me down.. in what can only be compaired to a Nestea plunge from 6 feet up onto our bed! Ouch! I was feeling it that night. My neck was hurting bigtime! But after a day of much Advil and even some naproxen.. a few sessions on the heating pad overnight.. I am feeling better.

My big plans of knitting up a shorty sock on my new DA extra fine gauge sock loom didn’t pan out. Probably mostly because of the neck thing, and child related distractions.. Here is how far I got!

The loom is nice. The cotter pin pegs are not angled as there would be no room to wrap the yarn if they were so it takes a little bit of getting used to. But I am getting there.

I think I am going to take off this dark colored yarn and use something a little lighter and brighter so I can see my knits and purls.

I am planning on making up some sandal socks with some cute flower designs. I need me some sandal socks.. then I can go get some sandals to go with em.. mine are quite worn. And hey the sun is coming!! I am liking the nice warmer weather. It should be up to the 70’s this week.. and last week it was snowing!!  OI!

The new Knitty is up! I am liking it! Most of it is good! I don’t favor the ruffle on the Jadin cardi but it would be good for a little baby girl sweater!!

I was looking it over last night at 10 pm and my 4 year old was trying to get me to come up and lay down with him. He said “Mom, you need to come up and get in bed!” I said “but this is new exciting knitting stuff!” To which he answered “You can dream about knitting!” Then he pointed to the Jardin cardi.. ” You can dream about that!” Then we went upstairs and he told his Daddy that ” You need to dream about knitting too Dad!”

hmmmm……

Denise….
Where was the video camera during the horsing around?! That may have been as much fun to watch as knitting!! ROFL! It sounds like a good happy…fun family you have there. No more goofing off though…. we newbies depend on your guidance. We can’t afford to have you aching and broken!! LOL! Hope you feel better.

That sounds like a lot of fun :)…even with the sore neck afterwards. It is fun to play like kids again :).

Well, all I did was stand facing away from the bed and as slowly as I could, facing that direction, lower her back upon the bed. Now, does that sound that bad? I’m not the first so falsely accused!

What size extra fine loom did you get? My foot measured 8.5, so I went with the 9″. Not sure I did the right thing, and it will be off in the mail probably tomorrow. Just so confused about sizing and don’t feel I’ve gotten a definite answer on it. Any insight now that you have your EF sock loom?

Since Denise responded to Linda offline, I can add that I did not say it was done slowly. I said “as slowly as I could, facing that direction”. And when I started leaning backwards I was moving quite slowly. Otherwise you wouldn’t have had so much time to scream hystericaly! :p
