I have not been able to find this anywhere on the web so I decided to make it up myself! There are plenty of sites out there to join garter stitch side to side, or join stockingette end to end ..but I just couldn’t find this! So here you go!
Invisible seam for two garter stitch peices end to end!
1. With the right sides of your pieces facing upwards, put the pieces on a flat surface. 2.With a yarn needle and matching color yarn, catch the V found between the first rows of garter ridges as seen in the diagram below.(click to enlarge)
3. Repeat step 2 on the bottom piece
4. Alternate between the two pieces gently pulling the yarn to close the seam as you go.
Your seam will look like this:
