Paying the bills…

I use this and love it!

I get free stuff with SwagBucks!

It’s Probably a good thing that I didn’t bring my knitting..

The scene at my softball game yesterday…

It’s the top of the sixth inning here at the Davenport ball field. Hartville leads Springfield 7-0, and Hartville is up to bat.

Harville has 1 out, and Denny is up at bat. The pitcher throws the ball.. its a strike.. wait.. wait a minute folks.. what’s that on the infield?? Holy cow.. this is a first.. it looks like a mini twister is kicking up the dust.. yes it is.. this is amazing! A dust devilabout 100 feet high is swirling on the infield between home plate and third..It’s picking up speed, and moving across the infield.. headed straight for the Hartville bleachers.. This is unbelievable folks! I’ve never seen anything like it.

The Hartville team is scrambling for cover but this thing is just moving too fast for them to get out of the way. The twister is whipping through the team! Hats are flying, its pandemonium! It passed by and the team is covered with dust.. needless to say I wouldn’t be surprised if the team was a little rattled by this turn of events, otherwise everyone looks alright!

I borrowed this pic to give you all a refence.. I was a little busy running toward the thing because I thought Caleb an Julian were in it’s path. But this is about what it looked like!

Stitch n’ Pitch

What fun! We left the boyz behind and went out to the ball game!! We lucked out and got a double header because they had to finish up a game they started the other night! But hey.. more time to knit!!

Andi brought little gift packets for everyone that included this cute magnet and a little sample of Carodan Farms yarn.. which I immediately recognized as a ‘mystery’ yarn I had worked up a project in!! And it is the same color, and will be just enough yarn for me to finish up a bit of the project(because I had frogged some of it!)!!! WOW! What a happy coincidence!

Also in the bag was a cuuuuute antenna topper! I love it! I’ll show it to you later!

We had a lot of fun and I even finished this loom knit hat while I was there! And just in time because when the sun went down it got chilly!

I kept hoping that they would hit a foul ball right to me so I could crack the ball open and knit with the yarn inside!! hehehe But it didn’t happen! But the fireworks were a nice touch!

If you have a chance to get out to a Stitch n’ Pitch in your area go go go!  And I hope you have a great group host like we did! Thanks Andi!!

Treasure Boxes

Well since I have basically ripped out all the knitting I have worked on that I can show you I will show you some great treasure boxes I have aquired recently.

First in the mail all the way from Japan.. my Shinkansen Bento set from Bento Yum!

It is just too cute! I like it!And it came super fast even though she said it would take two weeks I don’t even think it took one!!

Then I was at an auction down the street and got this sewing box.

It has some nice treasure in it..

It had the usual rick rack and odds and ends of thread and cloth that mostly went in the trash.. but it also had some great scissors, some pinking shears,  pin cusions, a pin cusion bracelet.. very handy for blocking! Some folding scissors and two darning eggs! When I peeked in the box I had only seen the one darning egg, that was enough for me to bid on it. But the second one that I pulled out after I got home was even better! It has a secret compartment to keep your needles in! very nice!

So treasures all around! And hopefully some knitting picks tommorrow! Got to go clean! Azia and I are going to Stitch n Pitch tonight! Brian is off in San Fransisco for WordCamp so I have Ashley coming to watch the boyz!! Of course this game won’t be quite as exciting as the one Brian gets to go to on Monday.. He is going to the Giants game where Barry Bonds is set to break the home run record!! No fair!!!
