What Won’t be Under my Christmas Tree
Because my husband came home with it yesterday…*
So pretty..
So nice…
Sigh..
Now perhaps I can take some photos and videos!! Since my poor Kodak succumbed to it’s injurious treatment by the TSA!
* I think he likes me…hmm.

My friend got a job… so I got a job!!
Watching her kids!
I am going to watch them a couple afternoons a week.. we will see how this goes and whether or not I will watch them down there.. (at the house we were headed to when Jaxom ran into the tree) or up here!
For now up here I will watch them on Monday, but not Friday.. as I will be on my way to Rhinebeck!! WOO HOOO!!!
Anyone headed to Rhinebeck want a kitten?? I think I am delivering at least one..I am playing Blogger Bingo again so look me up! I am a square!!! (see my about page for my photo.. and that is the shawl I will be wearing.. )
Place
syou will not find me..In the line for Socks that Rock yarn..
Everywhere else!!! I will be checking out the Hitchhiker spinning wheel booth thoroughly..yeah I am crazy!!
AND I will definitely be hanging out at AREA 41.. mwah hahaha.. big book signing event there.. I want to get a copy of Clara Parkes new book:
I think it is a must have for designers..and definitely a must have for me as I start a bit of a learning spree..
I am still trying to see if I can get this camera back up and running.. but it seems that after it’s run in with the TSA it has finally succumbed to its injuries and died.
Of course had Brian known that on Saturday we would have gotten a new one. Le sigh..
Dad is doing well, thanks for all your happy thoughts and prayers, and Jaxom’s nose and face are looking quite normal.. aside from the little bit of black eye left you might not be able to recognize me by the fact that I am hanging out at Rhinebeck with a bruised and battered boy! Sorry you will just have to find me the hard way!!
The bad news is that my cat back home in NJ died.. poor thing.. ah well he was old..and very well cared for and loved by my Aunt!
Out for now.. any loom knitters going to Rhinebeck who want to meet up?? Let me know!
hmm ok

The Bionic Man
At least that is what we will call my Dad after today! He is checking in to the hospital about now to get his hip replaced..
He has had a problem with it since he was 6! They thought he broke it back then but it turned out to be another problem. The blood supply to his hip was low/cut off so it had never formed properly. So this is going to be a big upgrade for him!
So if you get a chance send some thoughts and prayers his way.. it is going to be a long recovery.. and definitely send some happy thoughts my Mom’s way.. she is going to have to put up with him through it!!!

And Now for the Rest of the week’s events!
It seems like this week has been filled with nothing but bad news…but other things happened this week.. good things! I was woken up by the sound of a hot air balloon this morning.. that was kinda neat..
I did some fun knitting..
*
The heart hat from Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Knitting Workshop book. It’s turned out a little smaller than I wanted.. but hey the point was to try it out and have fun! Had to have a little knit in public project..
We have our yard back!
Almost..the grass has to grow in, and I need to get out there and put my Hosta’s back in the ground, and get some landscaping fabric down on some parts so they don’t wash away.
And I finally got my wedding ring resized!!!
*
It’s only been about 8 years since I have been able to wear my wedding ring.. so hey I think it’s about time! Don’t you?
I got to ‘read’ a book! The Friday Night Knitting Club
. I highly recommend it, to not just knitters.. but knitters will especially appreciate it. I loved it, I hated it and in the end I give it two thumbs up!
Not much else.. mostly work knitting, and I am making progress on that front which means.. it will end!!! WOO HOOO!!!
I really don’t begrudge work.. it’s just taking all my time and focus, and being the ADD knitter that I am there is always something pretty shiney that I want to try! SO I have to buckle down, finish this and then I can move on to some fun! (not that this isn’t fun.. it is.. really..)*imagine photos of these lovely objects here.. as it seems my camera is not working again this morning! I’ll try to get the pictures to add to the post later!!
The Fall Pattern Sale continues.. so remember to put fallsale in the code box during checkout to get $1.00 off per pattern. And I still have that big box of acrylic available, and I have a couple packs of Rowan Wool Cotton for sale. Check it out here.
