Well Kathy Norris has solved that problem for us ..

Kathysbook

Congratulations Kathy!!

Kathy is a great loomer and an all around nice person! It is great to see some new designers come into their own!

Have you had the chance to listen to my podcast yet? I am so excited for you to listen and let me know what you think!!

  • How do you like the idea?
  • How was your experience listening?
  • Anything you want, anything bothering you?

I really want to know! So let me have it!!

And a little how to listen to the podcast. First find the little widget on my sidebar, it looks like this:

Then click on the play button! (and yes for the first 40 seconds you are required to get up and dance!!!  You got to move it move it!) It is simply that easy! It’s only about 14 minutes long so not too big a time commitment!

Then please when you are done listening.. leave me a comment, you can either leave me a comment here, or click on VISIT MY CALL there on the widget, and leave a rating and comment on the TalkShoe page!  In celebration of my blogaversary which is coming up in 4 days, lets add a little spice to this. Listen to my podcast, and leave me a comment and you will be entered into a little drawing.. for some of that loverly stuff we knitters of any persuasion love most! YARN!  If you go to the TalkShoe site and give me a rating and comment.. well you will get two entries!! I will draw a name on my blogaversary.. so start commenting!! Just look for this on the TalkShoe page!! (and if you are not a knitter.. perhaps we can work out another prize! perhaps a Starbucks gift card to tempt you into listening?)

Love the podcast! I just about died laughing at that song “I’ll Knit for You”! Too funny! I sure would like to be a “victim”, I have little creatures around my house too (six of them) so I can see if hubby will keep them occupied for awhile (hee, hee). Great job!

Yippee! I got entered twice without even trying! :)
I think your creation’s shape would make a great snail…or turkey?…

I believe you have made a “weewee” hat. It is to keep you dry when you are changing a baby boy’s diaper. If it’s not- it definitely would work!! :)

It looks like a cornucopia to me. Or an elf’s hat.

Thank you for the congrats! ;-D

Throwing my guess in….On the Lomm lists there was some talk about knitted reproductive organs (how’s that for PC?). Working out a little something for the Mid Wives?

Hmmm…Some sort of sea-shell? I was thinking it looked a bit like a crook neck squash but I already read that your hubby wrongly guessed that one. And cornucopia does come to mind but the bottom swirl piece wouldn’t fit at all. It’s a bit like a conch shell so I’ll venture that guess.

Oh, I commented too soon. Some wiggly baby girl turned off your podcast before the end. Now she’s trying to help me type (with her toes)!

First I have to say that I totally totally totally love amigurumi. I first saw it on Lion Brand (the boy and girl doll that true ami enthusiasts say is not true ami) When I went to find peach yarn for faces, none! When I explained why I wanted peach yarn I got “Ami-what?” I just bought the butterfly girl Francisca (Owlishy at Etsy - saw it on Ravelry) and I am sooooooo excited to make her! Did I mention that I LOVE amigurumi?

I think you are working on an elephant. If not, it would make a pretty good one…

Oh and the podcast was really great. You sounded great. I would have been like umm and all breathy and really annoying. You did awesome. And well put together. The material you covered was interesting and you had a good audio flow. (have you worked in radio?) Have a great day!

Great for a first episode! Do you want detailed comments or just brief ones? (I’ve done full critiques when I was with the podcast guild but I hesitate to do so unless it’s wanted.)

You have a fantastic presence, I can tell this show will be great. Now if only it was earlier in the day, as 8 pm for you is 1 am for me and I’m not always up this late! :)

I liked the podcast (I just had one small problem with the volume, as mentioned in my TalkShoe comment).

As for the mystery object, is it a tornado - my mind keeps turning it sideways.
