Summer break is just about here. My kid’s teacher got a good lesson in How to panic Denise today! She sent an email saying THIS was the last week of school! UH well all indications on the school calendars is that it is next Friday! EEKS! Well that is solved it is now next Friday. Phew!

In any case. With summer break here that means I have more time on my hands to do How To’s. So what do you want to know how to do? Loom knitting, a crochet edge.. you name it I’ll see what I can do about it!

So what say you?

Okay, how about:
How to Start your Own Country.
How to be Pope.
How to become President.
How to locate the Remote.
How to find the Cordless Phone.
How to rescue your keys from the locked car.

That could keep you busy for a few weeks anyway. Some of these could even be ongoing series. ;D

Intarsia/Color changes
The Drop Stitch
Seaming
Lace!
Shaping techniques
Creating scallops on a loom?

How about:
1. How to figure out the gauge for stitch patterns other than stockinette (i.e. garter).
2. How to figure out a good substitution yarn.
3. How to figure out the weight of yarn if the label has been lost or it is handspun.
4. How to figure out how much yarn you will need for a project (this would be for a future designer, of course).
5. How to take a piece of clothing from your closet and use it for the basis of a design.

I’ll think some more on this too and come back if I come up with more.
