Knitting Without Needles

I picked up the skill of crochet last year, when I took a crochet class. It was nice to get out of the house on a weekly basis and go play with yarn with my wonderful teacher Rochelle. I enjoyed finally learning how to crochet and moved quickly from her basic crochet sessions into the intermediate and beyond. It helped that I was the only one in the class I think.. and, that after I had someone right there to tell me as I was trying it what I was doing right and wrong.. everything just clicked!!

Crochet is definitely a skill I encourage loom knitters to acquire, as looms also have a bit of a crochet quality about them. You can do a little crossover crochet and knitting on the looms..

That there is one cool granny square!  I just love new non traditional applications for yarn craft so this is right up my ally!  If you crochet and you want to try it out you can find the directions here on Crochet Me! another great site to find new fun things!!

This would make such a cool blanket! It would look great in just two colors.. alternating black and white… Great stash buster.. hmm… I have some stash to bust!

I finished two little things, after digging through the button box. (There’s nothing like digging through the button box on a cold rainy afternoon..)

First up: a Seatbelt cover!

Now that seatbelt won’t cut into my neck!

I sense a theme here.. neck coverage!

Sorry it’s blurry, this one showed the colors best! This is all dishcloth cotton, with the exception of the darker blue ball, it’s Cotton Ease.
