The Waiting Game..

I have been feeling ansty this week. It seems like I am waiting for everything!! I hate waiting.
I am waiting for my check from the publisher. Waiting to hear about what is happening with my secret pal. We are resorting to snail mail because all other options have been exhausted. It’s definitely disconcerting!::sad: Waiting for my parents to come at the end of next week for a visit.
I’m going to submit a pattern today to Provocraft too. So I will be waiting to hear what they think of it.

Waiting waiting waiting..

I have a million things I need to do too.
Cleaning, knitting the toys. I just am not into it!!
So I pulled out my big ball of handspun yarn that I bought with my birthday money and swatched it for a vest.
I hate vests.
I won’t wear it so what am I thinking?
So I started searching for something to make with 475 yards of beautiful bulky weight handpainted yarn!
So I posted a plea for ideas at the Knitter’s Review forum. Nothing.. again I was waiting. So I looked and looked and the answer was right under my nose!
In that copy of KnitScene I bought is a knit skirt.

Now. I don’t wear skirts often. But the annual company Christmas shindig is coming up at Brian’s work (my former employer as well) and it would be cool to have something I knit to wear to it.
Plus maybe it will get me out of my rut.
Plus!! Best of all I got gauge! And the pattern calls for….drum roll please… 474 yards of yarn!!
I think we have a winner.

Or at least something to do while I wait.
Dang.. I just realized it’s Veteran’s day! No mail.

BooYA to all you veterans!!

UPDATE
Well I didn’t have to wait long for the reply on the design. It was positive. It’s headed to committee

But I do have to wait for this!

The preview of the Winter Interweave Knits is out!!

I like this:

These are super cool!

This looks like a must try!

And this looks like something I was playing around with on the knitting board!
Gotta get back to that.

Ahh so many good projects, so little time.

And mix in doing projects that pay.. well I dunno. Maybe these will have to wait too.:???:

  1. That is a cute skirt. I told ya, the scarf is really pretty, if they don’t accept it, you can sell it on your own. Smile…smile…are you smiling yet, do I have to take out some I-cords and wip you, hehehe

  2. Patience may be a virtue, but waiting is tough! Good call on the skirt- looking forward to seeing the handpainted yarn. I just saw the IK preview, too. I’m loving the fair isle sweater and ballet wrap as well. More waiting, though! 🙂 Good luck on your pattern submission!

  3. cute skirt! it uses bulky yarn? way to go!!! i love IK, the magazine puts me to sleep over and over again… and then i dream of patterns and yarn 🙂 hope the snail mail speeds up for you!
