Well I am excited! Aren’t you?

The winter olympics are coming near!

I luv the winter olympics. In fact our honeymoon was at Lake Placid and we toured a bunch of the olympic venues, and got to watch the olympic ski jump team practice.. You know those ski jumpers who do the fancy twists and turns and flips in the air.. it was really cool!

So when Stephanie put up her olympic knitting challenge I thought sure why not!

I have decided to do Backyard Leaves for my challenge. It will be a challenge to me because it is working off a chart.. it is sort of lace.. and I of course have the handicap of having 4 children!

I will be using my KnitPicks Andean Silk in lettuce. I think it is enough to make the scarf.

ooops… I don’t have enoughyarn to make this.. though it sure is tempting to do it with the two skeins of andean silk I do have and simply make a tiny scarf! I sure would be done in gthe 16 days! Oh well back to the drawing board.. need to pick a new sport!

For training I have to seperate the two skeins I wound into one center pull ball. I think I am going to have to enlist the help of my trainer Brian and use my swift for it’s maiden voyage! Then to swatch!

Wish me luck, cause this is the only way I am coming close to getting a gold metal!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember the rules:
“Olympic athletes may cry, but they do not whine pitifully, sob and threaten members of their family with pointed sticks because they haven’t slept in five days. “
