A little light reading!

I found a neat little article online about Knitting Nancys a while back.

Thought I would share it with you. Click here.

Here is my project in progress an old shale lace scarf..this is exactly how much knitting time there is on the drive from upper state NY to Ohio till it gets too dark to knit!

There is a great pattern for a chevron scarf  on the knitting board in the winter issue of Loom Knitters Circle e-zine Click here to see it! It’s similar to this but not lacy!

Enjoy!

Denise, thanks for the link on Knitting Nancys. Can’t wait to check it out. I still have my little red knitting spool from when I was young and use it at demos at the historic site. Thought I’d have to make my own wooden one when I found one at the local Goodwill Store (of all places).

I love the Ole Shale pattern. Made a scarf for my Mom in my first attempt at lace knitting and discovered it was one of the easier patterns yet very beautiful.

Did I tell you that someone is making me 18th century-style bone knitting needles? Will keep you posted since it’s a first attempt for this woodworker but she wanted to give it a try.
