What a Day! How About a Little Give Away?

You all have never over done it have you? I totally did today. In fact it started last night with staying up late to watch SNL. I could begin to like it again with all the election fun!

Then up early to get the kids out of bed and off to Sunday School and church.

Off to the grocery store with all 4 in tow, of course.

Then off to the park for a picnic.

On the way to the park we passed our local fire station and saw they were having their open house, so after the park we stopped by.

Put out a few fires

Rode in the fire truck! And got some spiffy hats! I even won a door prize!

Then off to Target to get Brian a new carry on bag for his business trip tomorrow! Yep he is home in two hours then gone EARLY to head to Toronto till Friday.

I need something EASY to knit to keep me sane! Any suggestions? Go forth find me a pattern! Be it loom knit ,needle knit , or crochet! (I’m thinking I would love to try a simple top down raglan or something with mitered squares) And perhaps you will be rewarded for your efforts!

A little pretty yarny prize?

Think of it as a little thank you for helping to keep me sane this week!

  1. Oh how exciting! I just made my first little crocheted swatch…I’m determined to teach myself how 🙂

Here’s to staying sane while your husband is working out of state! (Mine was gone all last week and the week before…with a short two day break in the middle where he was home…so I feel ya!)

  2. Looks like a neat day 🙂

I’ll point out a pattern or two:
    Creative Knitting March 2007:

The So Clever Shrug is simple but elegant and you can get some knitting and crochet in 😀

or same issue – The Shades of Green Pullover is on my to do list (maybe it will be the first sweater I ever make that isn’t for a baby 😀

Really the whole issue is nice so if you don’t already have it…

For just crochet, my all time favorite pattern is here:

I love this dishcloth. It’s pretty and I’ve made so many that I have the pattern memorized. That makes it terribly convenient for a go with me project <3

    Have a great day!

i just found this pattern, and i think they are SO cute – to cover all those old bangles from the 70s & 80s…
