Bookish Thursday: Continuous Cables!

I could sum up this book review in one word.. WOW But that wouldn’t be very nice would it?

Continuous Cables: An Exploration of Knitted Cabled Knots, Rings, Swirls, and Curlicues by Melissa Leapman is  a beautiful book! Whether you are beginning with cables, have done some cables, or are an expert at cables.. this book will impress you!

The instruction section at the beginning is super comprehensive! Melissa covers EVERYTHING! Anything you need to  start out with cables on up to the more advanced techniques used in the book and the cable dictionary!  The directions are clear and have great illustrations that make them easy to follow for the more visually oriented knitter. Even the directions for cabling without a cabling needle!

I don’t see how anyone could go wrong using these directions!

If the 20 beautiful designs at the beginning of the book are not enough, Melissa adds a cable dictionary in the back, that is chock full of interesting and beautiful cables that you can add to any of your own pieces.

The cable dictionary includes 43 large cable panels, 31 smaller motives  and 13 horizontal bands. This is an incredible resource! This book will quickly become your go to book for cables!

It is so hard to describe just how amazing these designs are.. you will just have to see them for yourself!!

They should have titled this book endless cables.. because it has endless possibilities!
