Where oh Where..

Oh where oh where have my stitch markers gone?

Oh where oh where can they be?

Some are short and some are long,

Oh where oh where can they be.

You all know the old addage: “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” right? Well apparently it applies to stitch markers as well. I have somehow managed to lose ALL of my stitch markers. Now this is a problem! I have resorted to using anything I could find! Safety pins, rings small toys with holes in them.. little rings made out of playdough.. (I don’t reccomend this it really doesn’t work well.)

I have looked and looked and I still can’t find my little tin full of stitch markers. To be frank I am almost more worried about the loss of the tin they are in than the markers themselves!

Brian found me wandering aimlessly around the black hole that is mistaken sometimes for our house, looking for them. I was sick when they went missing so that probably means they are in a very strange place. Hopefully I will find them and all will be well.

In the mean time, I am working on some knitting that does not need stitch markers. So all is well.

 Any suggestions where to look?

Edited to add: I forgot to tell you that I added a link for my seaming techiniques page! Each technique has it’s own downloadable PDF so you can print it out and refer to it any time you want! Just look for the link over there on the right sidebar —>

Oooh, sounds like we are suffering from a similar ailment. Mine is where is that missing needle with my row counter on it? Dog could care less about my knitting equipment but the cat is fascinated with them. Both love chewing yarn if it’s not put out of their reach.

Was right in the midst of the feather & fan scarf I’ve been working so painstakingly on when I discovered the missing needle. Ripped apart my knitting bag. furniture cusions, the car. Everywhere! Luckily I was able to switch to another set of needles and had a spare row counter so I’m nearing the finish but that missing needle is driving me crazy!!

Have you tried looking through the kids toys? A cool tin would be a tempting storage container; especially if it was discovered in a most unusual place. Might have thought Mom didn’t need it anymore. Hey, anything’s possible!

Thanks for the seaming tips! Can’t wait to check them out.
