How To Make me Nearly Happy!

Sorry, due to some technical camera issues our regularly scheduled How To’s Day, and any photos..will have to be postponed!

Remember this?

Well I am happy to say that I am very close to fixing my swift. Thank’s to Azia who is generously sacrificing her already broken tiger umbrella from the zoo which happens to have just the right part!!! Now I just need to find the needle nose pliers..

Hopefully next week I will head to the County Fair office and get a fair book so I can determine whether or not I can enter some pieces! So exciting! I have been struggling the last three years just to get information about entering items at the fair! This year has been the most successful yet so I think I will do it!

Wish me luck! And hey any tips from those of you who have entered items in your local county fair are welcome!

  1. I am so glad you are getting your antique swift fix. It is very exciting!

Fairs…all I heard is that whoever enters something always wins some sort of placing. Good luck!

  2. Good luck ;D

    Yay for the Swift!

  3. Oh yay! I have a “no touching anything on mommy’s dresser even if its your very special blankie” rule. But I kind of have to enforce it everyday.
    Good luck on the fair!

  4. County Fairs are so fun to enter! Enter in as many classes as you can. If there are sweepstakes classes, do those too. At our fair this year, someone crocheted several identical baby dresses in different colors and entered each into a different category. (She took blue ribbons on all of them.) Enter the cookies, candies, breads, etc. categories. Make sure your kids enter in the youth categories too. If your fair gives premiums, you could all win a few bucks. And save your entry book so you know what to work on all year for next year’s fair!
